Long days Short Nights I’m about that life right now, preparing for a fashion show is no easy task, between the meetings, and fittings, and model auditions, and photo shoots I find that I am hardly getting anytime to myself, and now I’m even learning to live with bags under my eyes, and just enough sleep every day to get by…but I LOVE IT.

Doing this fashion show has really allowed me to decide that without a doubt I want to study fashion design in university, the whole thing thrills me, the long hours are worth it, the stressful days when you are running around looking for models, buying material in the rain, eating in shady places and taking selfies all day, that thrills me, that is worth it.

I’ve been going back and forth with my future prospects getting sidelined by the fact that everyone seems to be doing something so professional and uptight, and all I want to do is create beautiful wearable art.

I am an artist, I have finally come to terms with that, I see it as an asset in fact not something that has to be hidden for the sake of looking put together.

This is me, fashion photo shoots, giving back, helping out, making art, this is me.

I had a great time today even though it was stressful…Runway for charity, a project me and a friend came up with to help Cancer Patients in Mulago hospital while promoting young innovative talent in the fashion industry is afloat, and its sailing in the right direction! It is amazing to look back and see how big this project has grown from something that we came up with during a lesson in class to something that now has some of the biggest businesses in Uganda sponsoring it. Makes me so happy.

If I could give advice in all my naivety and youthfulness I would say to anyone trying to decide what to do in life, find that one thing that would make the work worthwhile and go after it, cause after all, long days, short nights and hard work are inevitable, but

As long as you are doing what you love, even if it is hard work you will find it within yourself to enjoy it
